Something old-Something New

My mom taught me to sew.  At the time, I probably didn't appreciate her efforts but now, I do.  She passed away when I was in my teens and consequently I have been able to hold on to only a few of her things.  One is her old red tomato pin cushion. 

So today, I am breaking in a new pin cushion, also an old fashioned tomato style.  I hope to get many years of enjoyment from it's use and maybe someday, when I'm old my girls will see it and think of me.
